PRIMARY
Our curriculum caters for Key Stages 1/2 and is based on the UK national curriculum with the blend of the Nigeria curriculum which is delivered in a creative and innovative way. Children we know learn best when they are curious and excited by what they are being taught and it is this type of intrinsic motivation that we encourage to inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Based upon the Edexcel International Primary Curriculum, our aim is for the children at Sailors Pride School to gain a broad understanding and to excel at the core subjects of English, Maths and Science as well as Humanities, Physical Education, Computing, Art and Design, Music and French.
Maths and English, Literacy incorporating phonics, spelling, grammar, Comprehension and punctuation, as well as daily reading in the classroom are taught in class. Further sessions throughout the school week focus on, weekly sessions in the library. Computing, Art and Design, Music, French and PE are taught by subject specialist teachers.
All of our classrooms are fully equipped with modern tools and trained teachers to ensure that the children receive the best educational support possible.
