In Sailors’ Pride School, we believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that empowers them to fulfil their potential.

Our Early years section, provides an engaging education, in secure and caring environment for children from ages 2-5. Our objective is to give children the very best possible start to their educational journey, provide a strong foundation on which their future can be built and inspire a true love of learning.

Sailors’ Pride School is proud of her fun, exciting and inviting Early years department were we provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn, play, explore, imagine and take on challenges.

As learning through PLAY is considered a very important part of the children’s development, we base our curriculum on the UK Early Years Foundation Stage while remaining flexible in the implementation in other to meet the individual needs of the children.

Our main focus is The EYFS  which works within four key principles:

• Learning and Development

With these four principles in mind, the curriculum features seven areas of learning and development.

There are three prime areas:

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development
• Communication and Language
• Physical Development

These three prime areas run alongside four specific areas of learning:

• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Expressive Arts and Design
• Understanding of the World
